Clinical Neuropsychologist
Current Appointments:
I am in full time independent practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, providing expert witness reports to the courts. Since 2018 I have completed comprehensive assessments nationally, including assessments of intellectual functioning and memory; risk of violent offending and sexual offending; Autism Spectrum Disorder and neurodevelopmental conditions; fitness to plead; and assessments of mental health conditions. I also have experience in giving oral evidence to the courts.

I am Chartered as a Clinical Neuropsychologist by the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS).
I am a Full Member of the British Psychological Society’s (BPS) Division of Neuropsychology and I am listed on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN).
I am Registered by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Psychologist.
I have given lectures on various areas of clinical psychology to Trainee Clinical Psychologists on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) course at Teesside University.
Previous Experience:
I was previously employed by the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as a Principal Clinical Neuropsychologist. I provided neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic work across a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical presentations, including functional neurological disorder. I offered advice and consultation on patients’ psychological and neuropsychological care to the multidisciplinary team, and to other family members and carers. I also supervised Clinical Psychologists, Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists.
I was previously employed as a Clinical Psychologist by the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. I provided psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for older adults with a range of complex mental health problems, neurodegenerative conditions, traumatic brain injury and other acquired brain injury, including stroke. I offered consultation to care homes for management of older people displaying behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. I also provided psychological assessment, intervention and structured management to older people within a complex needs ward.
I completed placements in neuropsychology, learning disabilities, older adults (community and inpatient teams), working age adult mental health, and child and adolescent mental health during my training in Clinical Psychology.
I was previously employed at the Ashworth High Secure Hospital and the Learning Disabilities service at Newton Lodge Medium Secure Hospital. I provided psychological assessments of intellectual functioning, risk and personality, and provided group and individual interventions specifically for factors associated with offending behaviour, substance misuse, mental health and learning disabilities.
